This pretty samba displays rich harmonic content and a lyrical melody that gives it a nice optimistic feel. The chart features a variety of orchestrational textures trombones with bucket mutes, a flute/flugelhorn/soprano sax trio, a sax soli with a flugelhorn lead, and a piano/guitar/vibes soli. The chord changes are fun to improvise on, and the solo section is structured so that you can assign each solo instrument you wish. This chart will be a cool breeze in the middle of your set!
