Of the Fathers Love Begotten (DIVINUM MYSTERIUM) opens with metrically free statement of tune supported by descending chords of perfect fifths. Two variations follow. A march-like texture brings work to grand finale for full organ. Away in a Manger (CRADLE SONG/KIRKPATRICK) features three quiet variations. I: melody in pedal with rich harmonies in 7th chords; II: warm hymnic style; III: serene bell-like setting in upper register of organ.
