Evans (A0.799282).The delightful trio by Franz Joseph Haydn was originally written as a baryton, violin or viola and cello trio for Prince Esterhazy who played the baryton, an instrument that is obsolete today. Haydn wrote 126 of these baryton trios along with other works for the instrument including three concertos. The trio is in two movements, a Moderato and Minuet with Trio. This arrangement is for a trio of woodwinds, flute, Bb clarinet and bassoon with an optional Bb bass clarinet part and is suitable for intermediate players.
