An exciting and entertaining solo vehicle for either trimbone, tenor sax, or alto sax that was commissioned by the Sierra Vista High School Symphonic Band, Las Vegas, Nevada. Written as a mambo, there are easy chord changes for the soloist with a chance to improvise during both an open sholo section and over ensemble hand-clasps in a vamp. There are written out comping figures provided for piano and bass as well as parts for both auxiliary percussion and drum set.
