In this piece, the composer depicts a mother who hears her unborn baby cry for her. She is thrown into doubt as to whether she will keep the child, and passes this feeling onto the baby. Underlying this successful work is the Bach chorale Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern and has already proven itself as a winning piece in several renowned contests!

In Trance beschrijft de componist een moeder die haar ongeboren baby hoort huilen. Ze twijfelt of ze het kindje wil houden en brengt dat gevoel over op de baby. Het Bach-koraal Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern ligt ten grondslag aan dit succesvolle werk dat zich al heeft bewezen in verschillende beroemde wedstrijden.

In diesem Stück beschreibt der Komponist eine Mutter, die ihr ungeborenes Baby nach ihr schreien hört. Sie ist unsicher, ob sie das Kind behalten möchte und überträgt dieses Gefühl auf das Baby. Diesem erfolgreichen Stück liegt Bachs Choral Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern zugrunde. Es hat sich als Gewinnerstück bei zahlreichen berühmten Wettbewerben bewährt.

Dans ce morceau le compositeur dépeint une mère jetée dans le doute sur le fait de garder son enfant ou non. D’abord hésitante, la musique se développe en une sorte de transe, dans laquelle la mère danse de plus en plus vite, entraînée par les cris silencieux et le rythme cardiaque de l'enfant naître, accompagnée de ses peurs, ses doutes et ses espoirs. Le choral de Bach Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern est la base de ce morceau déj imposé plusieurs reprises lors de concours renommés !

This moving and stirring composition was written on commission from two world-renowned ensembles: Brass Band Bürgermusik, of Lucerne, Switzerland and Eikanger Brass Band of Lindås, Norway. It depicts a mother who is thrown into doubt as to whethershe will keep her child. Underlying the work is the Bach chorale Wie schön leuchtet der Abendstern (How lovely shines the evening star). Beginning hesitantly, the music develops into a kind of trance, in which the mother is dancing faster andfaster to the silent cries and the heartbeat of the unborn child, paired with her fears, doubts and hopes.
