Composed by Richard St. Clair. Contemporary. Score. 17 pages. Richard St. Clair #5224055. Published by Richard St. Clair (A0.939837).These four "atonal" works were composed spontaneously at the Music Studio of Fred Scorza in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1989. Though the language is typical of the so-called post-Webern avant-garde led by Boulez and Stockhausen, these four pieces are in a lighter vein full of surprises throughout. The title, a pun on the telephone dialing system known as touch-tones, refers to the spontaneous improvisatory character of the music.
