Percussion Ensemble Vibraphone (4-mallet) (vibraphone (3-octave)) - medium

SKU: CN.01440

Composed by James Combs. Duration 7:00. Published by C. Alan Publications (CN.01440).

A set of jazz vibraphone pieces from J.C. Combs. The 1st piece, Max, was written for a friend of Combs who had recently died and is meant to capture his spirit. The 2nd piece, First Kiss, is a musical nod to that moment of youth when you experience your first romance. The 3rd piece, Whitewashed, is a rather twisted attempt at ragtime. It tries to symbolically represent some of the liberties that some composers took with this form during the early minstrel show years. Pedal and mallet dampening are indicated throughout.
