This delightful Christmas anthem is full of the anticipation of the season. It is set mostly in unison with several phrases that break into 4 parts. Mr. Sitton creates the atmosphere of excitement with the use of the upper part of the vocal range and the insistent rhythmic drive. The intervals an harmonic changes are challenging, yet rewarding for the singer. Each verse concludes with the final phrase in Latin. This would be a particularly appropriate text for Christmas Day.
