Composed by Karen D. Janiszewski. Halloween,Instructional. Score. 6 pages. Karen D. Janiszewski #3820215. Published by Karen D. Janiszewski (A0.865414).

Piano solo collection for beginner pianists. 1. Skeleton Scowls, 2. The Haunt, 3. Creepy Clowns, 4. Witch’s Circle, 5. Zombie Apocalypse. Each movement concentrates on various concepts specifically for the beginner pianist.  Movement one emphasizes the use of staccato, the key of G key signature and the use of flats and naturals.  Movement two is meant for the student that is beginning to explore the piano outside of positions, but in a gentle, repetitive way.  Movement three uses the key of D major and minor, to help students with accidentals and key signature studies.  Movement four is also for the student that has learned to play without positions, perhaps one that has done some interval training, as this movement is based on the circle of fifths and fourths.  The final movement has more of a focus on rhythm, articulation and expressive details.  The left hand stays in low G position and the right hand stays in C position, making this movement easier to play, but it allows the student to focus on the other details.  A great way for students to work on their skills, while learning a quick piece for Halloween!
