Three new anthems for SSA women!s choir and organ by the highly esteemed British composer Colin Mawby. The first is a light and lively setting for Christmas of the traditional text "I Saw Three Ships," with melodic repetition that builds in intensity as the piece progresses. The Easter piece is a new setting of the text "Jesus Christ Is Risen Today," full of festive "alleluias" in dotted rhythms. "Come Holy Ghost," for Whitsun (commonly known as Pentecost), is a grand combination of the Latin text "Veni creator spiritus," its English translation, and additional text by Michael Forster.
