Although originally commissioned for a Cathedral performance with two boy Sopranos it works equally well with girl or female Sopranos. It sensitively portrays the conflicting emotions of sadness and hope of salvation. As such it is ideally suited to both a sacred and secular performances. John Garrett is a singer, educator and conductor of several choirs in the UK. He is also a Fellow of the London College of Music, and a licentiate of Trinity College London.
