This concert-sized (8.5"x11") publication of the Sousa-Damrosch setting of THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER is in the original and most sing-able key of A-flat. The 1917 harmonization by Walter Damrosch remains, while Sousa’s arrangement has been slightly modified to meet today’s modern concert band instrumentation and a couple of melodic rhythms have been altered to fit the official lyrics. Phrase markings have been added to assist in rehearsal and performance.
Player's parts include the lyrics set as a block of text on the bottom half of the page.
