THE MIXED MULTITUDE is a mixed Quintet of violin, cello, clarinet, horn and piano written in 2014. It is 10’ The title refers to the biblical account of the exodus from Egypt of the Children of Israel.The Israelites set out from Ramesesi for Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, not counting the children. A mixed multitude also went up with them, with livestock in great abundance, both flocks and herds. The song from the liturgy "Mi Cha Mocha" is quoted by the horn. This was the song which Miriam where exclaimed praise to the masses upon reaching the other side of the Sea of Reeds.
