Recorded by the One O'Clock Lab Band on Lab 2011, this piece is an homage to the Cop Show theme song genre of the 1970s and the vanishing art of the TV theme song in general! The groove alternates between super-funky and Afro-Cuban. The first part of the chart leads up to a fast jazz waltz that features tenor 1. A cameo solo by piano takes place during the jazz waltz as well as a shining moment for lead trumpet. The piece ends with an epic build up that is cinematic in dramatic quality. The Lead trumpet goes up to a 4 ledger line written high G. Five saxes, ten brass, plus piano, bass, guitar, and drums. Written to be the perfect closer for any set! Recorded version features a guitar solo and can easily be added.
