"This is us" is a great TV series which has some great music in it. "The Forever now" is one of these songs sung by the talented Mandy Moore. This sheet music for piano, voice, and guitar for the song tries to capture the essence of the song without being an overly complicated arrangement. The accompaniment is simpler than the audio recording but with enough allusions to the recorded performance to really make the piece sound close to the audio performance.
In this version as with all of my arrangements that include an accompaniment and instrumentalist or vocalist, the solo part is included separate in this case with the guitar chords creating a lead sheet so that other performers can have their own music without the Piano accompaniment giving them exactly what the need to perform with less pages taking up less music stand space! Perfect for small performances or Student/Teacher dynamics.
Performance
This would be a nice addition to any repertoire for performing. I think this will definitely be one which will be popular for weddings in the future. It is a beautiful piece of music and the song I can see more and more stumbling across and it meaning so much to them. If you are a wedding musician I would definitely add this to your repertoire.
I have also done a string quartet arrangement of this piece that may be of interest to some.
About the Arranger, Barry McCormick
I am Barry McCormick, I have an MA in music from the University of Glasgow. I am a musician, composer and arranger from Scotland. I have over 20 years experience in teaching music at a classroom and private tuition level and have taught students from early years to more mature in years. I was involved in a group using music as a means to aid mental health teaching guitar for those purposes. I now mainly focus on composing and arranging and trying to provide resources through various means for students and music educators.
