The last major project of his life, The Dreamer That Remains, was composed while Harry Partch was being filmed from the beginning of his work until the world premiere in 1972. The resulting documentary offers a unique insight into the technical requirements of the musicians as well as the handling of the instruments designed by Partch himself, such as the Adapted Viola, New Harmonic Canon I, New Kithara I, Boo II and Mbira Bass Dyad.
