Composed by Brenda Dillon. Sacred. Score. 7 pages. Dillon's Music Group #6656383. Published by Dillon's Music Group (A0.918306).

The Courage of the Seed is based on Mark Nepo's lyrics.  He is a poet who perfectly captures courage as seen through the lens of seeds.  "Seeds crack open in the dark and surrender to a process they can't see. This innate surrender allows everything edible and fragrant to break ground into a life of light that we call spring. The courage of the seed is that once it starts cracking, it cracks all the way."  Composition sung by Megan Koch, Resident Artist with the Fort Worth Opera.
