Composed by Brett L. Wery. Chamber,Contemporary. Score. 12 pages. Sonata Grendel Publishing #705876. Published by Sonata Grendel Publishing (A0.1102466).

The Calculus of Division is a science-fiction song set in a universe where myriapods—a subphylum of arthropods containing millipedes and centipedes—are sentient and sapient. The songs centers on a plot, as told by the more advanced centipedes, to dominate the millipedes by sowing doubt in math and thereby divide them into factions, brown on black and black on brown. While distracted, the carnivorous centipedes will eat the detritivorous—eating organic waste such as rotting wood—millipedes’ young. The song is the first in a trilogy of songs set in this unforgiving universe. Duration–5:30.
