A familiar 19th century Irish ballad by the Irish poet, Eugene Field.  The poem and the music are touching and sad:  there are toys in the attic "covered with dust, and the little toy soldier is red with rust, and his musket molds in his hands."  There was a time when the toys were new and "Little Boy Blue kissed them and put them there."  He told them not to leave until he came to get them, but - "an angel song awakened Little Boy Blue," and the years past.  The faithful toys stayed in the place where he put them, but they wondered sorrowfully what happened to their Little Boy Blue..
