The Awakening was first work by Bert Appermont who, at that time, was a student of Jan Van der Roost. A serene melody expands, supported by the growing orchestration. It’s a sparkling composition, thanks to it’s pure simplicity.

The Awakening was het componeerdebuut van Bert Appermont, toen nog een student van Jan Van der Roost. De serene melodie in het begin bouwt langzaam op met een toenemende orkestratie. De pure eenvoud, waarmee dit werk geschrevenis, maakt er een pareltje van.

The Awakening war die erste Komposition von Bert Appermonts und stammt noch aus seiner Studienzeit. Die anfangs schwebende Melodie wird nach und nach durch eine zunehmende Instrumentierung vervollständigt. Seine klare Einfachheit macht dieses Werk zu einem wahren Juwel.

The Awakening est la première œuvre que Bert Appermont a composée alors qu’il était encore étudiant. La ligne mélodique, claire et éthérée, s’étoffe et s’épanouit mesure que l’instrumentation s’enrichit. La simplicité structurelle et la pureté mélodique subliment la beauté de l’œuvre.
