The work starts off with a layered introduction and beautiful piccolo solo, then gives way to lush upper strings as the next part of the theme is presented by the brass and lower strings. Winds support the upper strings throughout and percussion adds even more energy and intensity, making listeners feel as if they are riding their own dragons for the very first time.
