Terpsichore is a colletion of Renaissance and Baroque dances compiled by the German composer Michael Praetorius. It was published in 1612 and is one of the most important works of Renaissance music. Terpsicjore contains more than 300 pieces, including pavanas, gallardas, branles and other popular dances of the period. It is a valuable source of information on late Renaissance an early Baroque music end dance in Europe. The work reflects the period's taste for dance and instrumental music, and has been studied and performed by musicians and dances ti the present day.
This suite brings together a total of six dances from  this great collection, ideal for a concert by a music school string orchestra.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
