You take your place in an aeroplane and wait expectantly for the motors to spark into life and for the plane to taxi onto the runway. Then it’s full throttle and with a roar of the engines you leave everything behind you. Below, the world is in miniature, you thrill at the freedom of flying high and take in the spectacular drama of the clouds. It’s moments such as these that Daniel Weinberger has captured in music in Take Off.

Je zit in het vliegtuig af te wachten tot de motoren starten en het toestel naar de startbaan taxiet. De spanning stijgt. In volle vaart en met dreunende motoren laat je alles achter je. Beneden wordt alles piepklein en je geniet met volle teugen van de vrijheid in de lucht en het spel dat de wolken met elkaar spelen. Al deze momenten zette Daniel Weinberger op muziek in Take Off.

Unter Ihnen wird alles klitzeklein, sie genießen die Freiheit hoch in den Lüften und bestaunen das wechselhafte Spiel der Wolken. Solche Momente sind es, die Daniel Weinberger in Take Off in Musik umsetzte.

Take Off est une courte pièce d’ouverture signée du compositeur autrichien Daniel Weinberger. Celui-ci considère le début d’un concert comme un avion qui décolle, et il a essayé de reproduire ces instants excitants pour un orchestre d’harmonie. On ressent une impression tangible de la puissance et de la prodigieuse accélération nécessaires pour que l’avion quitte la piste et s’élève vers le ciel, emportant ses passagers au-dessus des nuages.
