Composed by Malcolm Arnold. Arranged by Steve Knight. 20th Century,Classical. 145 pages. Knight Press #889973. Published by Knight Press (A0.1300634).

Malcolm Arnold completed his First Symphony in 1949, and it was first performed at the Cheltenham Festival in 1951 by the Hallé Orchestra with the composer conducting. The third movement, transcribed here for concert band by Steve Knight, begins as a traditional fugue, then transforms into a military march before ending in a grand and imposing fashion.
