It has an ABA form, with percussive rhythmic patterns from the Afro-Puerto Rican Culture, but its melodies are in a traditional style from Europe or North America. It includes additional instruments: English Horn, Contrabassoon, Harp, and Piano.
The original percussion includes a Drum Set, but the composer re-wrote the Drum Set Part by adding additional percussion parts at the end of the PDF for those concert bands that don't use Drum Set as an instrument.
