The original German version of Franz Gruber’s beloved melody composed for Rev. Joseph Mohr’s timeless poem, “Stille Nacht,” is set forth here as it was sung for the very first time on Christmas Eve 1818 by Gruber and Mohr for the congregation in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria. Arranged for 2-Part Men’s, or Boys’, Voices with Piano accompaniment according to Mohr’s c.1820 manuscript. Guitar accompaniment, with chord symbols and tablature, is also provided.
