This tender arrangement of "Stand By Me" is written for piano quartet (piano, violin, viola, and cello). Violin has the melody, and viola requires the use of double stops to harmonize and add rhythm at various points throughout the arrangement. There is a lovely moment between violin and cello towards the end, similar to what was heard in the original recording. Although this piece is harmonically sound played as just a string trio, the piano adds depth and rhythm.
