SKU: A0.1302768

Composed by Bryan Hooley. 20th Century,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Funk,Rock. Score. 14 pages. Crux Music Services #892391. Published by Crux Music Services (A0.1302768).

The bass guitar is not often considered to be a soloist's instrument, but this collection of studies in a variety of styles gives the bassist a chance to shine outside the confines of an ensemble.  They range from lower intermediate to difficult and complex, with emphasis here on natural and pinch harmonics and chords, and there on funk figures, fingerstyle playing and classical guitar references.  One even uses a looper and allows for melodic improvisation.  Patient work on these pieces will introduce the soloist to a number of different techniques and will bring musical rewards.

The pieces are presented in tradional notation and in bass tablature formats.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
