The „Silent Night Rag" is a musical joke: it takes the tune of the most famous of all Christmas songs (Silent Night, Holy Night) and tranforms it into a funny little ragtime piece which will certainly bring a smile to everyone who hears it!
Lucky for those who want to play it, the piece is rather easy to master: the key of the piece is C major (so there are hardly any black keys needed), and the jumps in the left hand are not nearly as wide as those in the „classic" ragtimes.
