This original in D major and 3/4 time is for 3-part string orchestra and piano. It is in unison, simple harmony and simple counterpoint. Range for violins 1 is D-B, violin 2/viola is also D-b with an added low A (1 on G!). ‘Cello range is open D to C# on A while the bass range is open A to B on the G string. Note values used are half, quarter and dotted-half. Rests used is the quarter. Dynamics are forte and mf, bowing and lifts are marked. Melody and harmony are played in ALL parts and is wrapped up in about 1:40 at a Moderato tempo.
Suggested grade is: .5/+ (end of the first year).
