It was written for and performed by the San Jose State University Symphonic Band, and featues a variety of percussion instruments, including three timpani, lots of cymbals, snare drum, tenor drum, bass drum, triangle, tam-tam, glockenspiel, wood block, and vibraphone--ideally four percussionists plus timpani.
