The publication is based on the manuscripts from musical archive of Lev PULVER (1883 – 1970). It has been realized and edited by Sergei LEONOV. "Scene of Shulamis" is one of the two surviving fragments of music to the Moscow State Yiddish Theater (GOSET) production Shulamis (1937), and it definitely is one of the masterpieces of Yiddish musical culture of the 20th century.

The range of the solo part is Eb4–Bb5. Introductory text to the publication, written by Sergei Leonov, includes a short biography of the composer and a detailed description of "Scene of Shulamis".
