Published by John Burkett (A0.1423377).Grieg did not write any music for the organ, but some of his short compositions for piano in his multi-opus series of Lyric Pieces can be successfully adapted for performance on the pipe organ. I have arranged several of them, employing 3-stave scores, along with indications for what manuals to play on, and suggestions for registration changes. My arrangements reveal, I think,that Grieg's piano pieces take on new dimensions with the organ's variety of timbres and wide dynamic range. They all would serve well on a recital program and some could be used in church services as well. I have provided a full-length recording to aid the prospective buyer in the decision-making process.
