English.

A creative combination of two texts appropriate for Christmas or Epiphany. Eugene Field was an American writer best known for his children's poetry. His poem "Star of the East" describes the events from the gospel of Matthew in which wise men from the East came to Jerusalem. The composer skillfully includes PUER NOBIS by Michael Praetorius. Children's choir or an ensemble of treble voices join the chorus to bring the piece to a close. A beautiful trumpet descant is included, often reinforcing the PUER NOBIS tune.
