Preludium II uses material from the composer's original Preludium piece for orchestra. It was composed in response to a call for pieces that stipulated the given chamber instrumentation. The work is an introductory overture-type movement, effective as a brief ternary form concert opener. The piece is clearly in D major, in a fast tempo, with a catchy melody and bell-like accompaniment. It is highy accessible and is appropriate for most standards of musician, including amateurs, students and the more advanced. This 6-page document is the full score only, and serves as the piano part too.
