Composed by Carrie Nixon. Text: Psalm 150. A setting of this"musical" psalm for 3-part voices. General. Octavo. Published by CanticaNOVA Publications (C5.5126).

Psalm 150, the last psalm in the Bible, is replete with musical praise for the Almighty: "Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary. Praise him in the firmament. Praise him for his mighty acts. Praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of trumpets. Praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with timbrels and dance. Praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals. Praise him upon resounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." This setting, by Kansas composer, Carrie Nixon, is for three-part women's voices, and is equally suited for three-part men's voices. The ranges are comfortable for men or women: Soprano I (or Tenor I) - E to F#, Soprano II (or Tenor II) - C# to C#, Alto (or Bass) - A to A#. The a cappella texture allows for agile singing of the various phrases, whose short, recurring structure sounds rather like a litany.
