John O'Reilly has written numerous overtures at this grade level that have become standards for concerts and festivals. Correlated with Accent on Achievement, Book 2, page 23, Palisades Overture is destined to be one of his most popular works. It begins with bright syncopated rhythms and fun, interesting percussion solos.
