The melody to "Maria, breit den Mantel aus" goes back to 1640 and is still popular to this day in catholic churches in German-speaking countries. The original text had 29 verses! I have taken a more fugal approach to this chorale prelude, slightly different to my others to date. One of a series of new organ pieces in different styles to suite all occasions.
