"One Note Samba" is a bossa nova and jazz standard song composed by Antônio Carlos Jobim with Portuguese lyrics by Newton Mendonça. The song is also known as "Samba de uma Nota Só" in Portuguese. The song derives its name from the first several measures of the melody, which is presented only on one note before moving to a series of chords

It’s song is known for its clever rhythm, phrasing, and syncopation

The tune been covered by many artists over the years, including Stacey Kent and Sangah Noona

It was written in 1959 and is considered a classic of the bossa nova genre. Here it is offered as a flute duet with a score and separate parts provided.
