Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Stephen M. Taylor. Classical,Graduation,Praise & Worship,Wedding. Score and parts. 5 pages. SMT Music #4615377. Published by SMT Music (A0.749749).

This famous tune is from the Beethoven 9th Symphony Finale. It celebrates the brotherhood of mankind and has words based on the Friedrich Schiller Ode to Joy poem. We often play it as the recessional for weddings. This version has an optional Trumpet descant part. On the 2nd verse the 1st violin plays an obligado part and the 2nd violin has the melody for part of the song. We usually do the song 2 or 3 times as the church clears out and often follow it with another recessional like Rejoicing by Handel.  .
