This piece has a delightful melody with lots of lilt and buoyancy, making it very enjoyable to sing. After its opening unison stanza, the tune is cast first into a two-part canon, and then into a canon in three parts with independent accompaniments. The piece could be adapted for use with mixed choir, assigning one of the canonic entrances to the male voices. Also, the work could be useful with a junior high choir, as the range is within the scope of the junior high baritone voice. Flute part included.
