Composed by Alexander Borodin. Arranged by Bud Caputo. Concert,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 21 pages. Bud Caputo #6115221. Published by Bud Caputo (A0.826720).

Directors should consider this arrangement in combination with Caputo’s arrangement of Helena Polka as a nice change of pace creating a Borodin medley. Of its four movements, the third movement "Notturno," is the most famous movement of Borodin’s 1881, String Quartet No. 2 in D major. . Some scholars suggest that It was dedicated to his wife Ekaterina Protopova as a 20th anniversary gift and that it has a program evoking the couple's first meeting in Heidelberg. The solo cello part in the original is distributed to other voices to maintain student interest. Bowings have been carefully edited by Dr. Priscilla Howard creating a beautiful and lyrical selection.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
