As such, it is an appropriate accompaniment to events such as graduation, retirement, or personal loss. Commissioned by director John Spiezio III of the Paul D. Schreiber High School Choir, the work is written to be performed by an intermediate to advanced intermediate choir, with an emphasis on strong female singers. The piano accompaniment is intermediate to advanced, and better suited to larger hands (though appropriate modifications can always be made by the performer). The music is around 5 minutes long, and offers choirs the opportunity to discuss text painting and symbolism.
