Published by C Melville-Mason (A0.1034384).Never Smile at a Crocodile, from Walt Disney’s Peter Pan, arranged for a mixed-ability woodwind ensemble of easy/improver level. This 4-part arrangement of an old Disney favourite was intended to be played with several to each part, but could also be performed by an appropriate quartet. An ideal piece for a school concert or friends-and-family ensemble! Instrumentation options are as follows: Part 1: Flute (although possible for a competent oboe comfortable up to high C) Part 2: Flute/Oboe – range of 5 notes (G, A, B, B-flat and C) Part 3: Clarinet in B-flat – left hand notes plus low B (but no C#) Part 4: Clarinet in B-flat (all low register) OR Part 4: Bassoon OR Part 4: Mini-Bassoon in F Parts 1 and 4 are sufficiently challenging to be appropriate for players with two or three years’ experience, while Parts 2 & 3 have a restricted note range, to cater for relative beginners. Please note that the range of the easier parts is better suited to players learning from an individual instrumental tutor, rather than from a band method.
