My Bonny, Bonny Boy Fingerpickin' Fantasia and Fugue is an arrangement of a traditional folk song for classical guitar duet in a style which could be described as folk fingerpickin' meets Baroque counterpoint. There is even a suggestion of Bach's Organ Works in the arpeggio echo effects in the fugue. On the organ they are played by alternating between two manuals, here they are played on alternate guitars, though the fugue is much simpler in form and has been adapted to include the complete melody of the song. The arrangement is at intermediate level. One of the guitars is tuned 6th to D. The audio sample is the fugue.
