The title "Moonlight" was given after Beethoven's death when the piece was likened to the moonlight reflecting on lake Lucerne.
Here arranged for full Brass band, this piece will test any band's ability to play long slow melodies and keeping triplets smooth and relaxed. Many parts are doubled up to enable stagger breathing in the almost relentless flowing passages. The famous piano spread arpeggios are spread across the band in a smooth bell-like style. A challenge for any band to get together, this work is aimed at more advanced bands.
