The song was written by Jimmy McHugh and Harold Adamson for the short-lived 1956 musical of the same title. The song gained a new following in 2010 after it was "broadcast" on "Radio New Vegas" in the game Fallout: New Vegas, published by Bethesda Softworks.

This version is a piano solo transcription/arrangement of the ballad. The sheet music includes chords and lyrics.
