Published by Chris Webster (A0.1213139).Les Folies d'Espagne was a popular theme throughout the Baroque and Classical periods with versions by many composers, for example, Fernando Sor and Mauro Giuliani. This version is by Antoine Lemaine, a lesser known guitarist of the classical period. He must have got carried away when writing it because he produced 29 variations, some of them very fast and difficult! Here are 12 of them - and it still runs to 208 bars! However, you don't have to play them all or break your fingers! Simply choose a selection that suits you. For example, the theme and variations 1 to 3 make an easy but effective set. Thus, this piece is as easy or difficult as you want to make it, with the theme and easier variations being at lower intermediate level. The arrangement is for Baritone ukulele, but the tab will also work with any ukulele with linear tuning.
