Part 1 is written entirely in treble clef; parts 2 and 3 are in bass clef. The melodies are passed between parts 1 and 2, while part 3 provides a steady bass rhythm. Only the first part requires thumb position; part 2 ventures as high as G; the third part hangs out mostly on the bottom two strings and could be played in first position, if necessary.
