The piece starts with a slow air entitled 'My Gentle Harp' followed by a lively dance tune 'The Galway Reel'. Larchet combines these two tunes with great artistry in a rousing final section. This arrangement of Larchet's orchestral piece was made by Colonel W. F. Brase, a distinguished German bandmaster who became the first Director of the Irish Army School of Music in 1923.
